So I've been doing a great deal of thinking, understanding that I must be the best person I can be first before taking on new challenges and in turn, new joys. Those who I would be involved with whether it be friendship or otherwise, deserve me to be the best person I can be.
Years ago I realized something that I still hold true today. People seem to judge themselves on what they see in the mirror. When in actuality they shouldn't. The mirror only provides one thing, a reverse image of your exterior appearance. When I look at myself in the mirror and raise my right hand, my mirror image raises it's left hand. This is not accurate to how other's see us. When I raise my right hand to my friend, that is my right hand. Our friends and family and anyone else see us for who we are, not for being mirror images of ourselves. So in essence we cannot see ourselves from the perspective of others, as we only see ourselves in the mirror, or in other reflections. We know ourselves from the inside, a perspective no one else can know but us. So, who is right in deciding the kind of people we are?! Our friends?! Ourselves?! Who knows? We all must come to terms with our place in this world, with who we are, with what we are, what we have accomplished and what we are to accomplish. What goals we have set or choose to not pursue.
We all battle our own issues. No matter what we choose to believe about ourselves, there is always something that we must conquer, something we must come to terms with and something that may get in the way of reaching our peak. It's a part of being human.
Remember that everyone is very much like you, in the above context. So when someone is trying to complete something, or reach their personal goal. Don't take them down, don't give them crap, celebrate them, celebrate that they have accomplished something, even if it is small, it may be something great to them. Be constructive, not destructive. Be encouraging not discouraging. It is fine to joke around, but sometimes the receiver may have issues you didn't count on and the jokes may do more harm than good. While I am a person that likes to joke around, don't take me too seriously when I do so. I don't joke with people I don't like.

Occupy and voice...
As promised, I thought I would type a bit about all this Occupy Movement stuff...
I think it is fantastic. We live in a country where we can protest without a military response. Where we can voice our disgust, our anger, our concern and our frustration with what goes on in our country, and do so relatively peacefully. Of course there is the occasional bastard cop that abuses his power and shoots people with pepper spray point blank for simply protesting. When people don't "move" as you want Officer Friendly, you arrest them, you don't shoot them with pepper spray. They have a right to protest as much as you have a right to do your police job, ironically the very people that you spray with pepper spray are taxpayers that allow you to have your job. You may want to remember that and have some respect.
Again I read how someone believes that the protesters are lazy people. As I typed in a Facebook update a few minutes ago, I seriously doubt they should be considered lazy if they are willing to march, protest and live in camps like the homeless in the crappy nearly winter weather we are having here and that's around most of the country, in order for their words to be heard. You try camping in this weather and call yourself lazy. There is a huge difference between a homeless guy on the side of the road begging with a cardboard sign with some lies scribbled on it to get some change from you, and people that are protesting all the crap that is going on in our government, in our financial system, in our business sector and in our very lives.
I see both sides of the story, I really do. There are people that really should adjust their way of living so that they can live within their means. Though when we have solders that are fighting our waste of money wars only to come back home and not be able to get a job, or having their job given to someone else because they've been gone so long or deployed multiple times, that is inexcusable. Yes business needs to go on, yes jobs need to be filled that are available, but you don't deny someone that gave their life, and put their civilian life on hold because you need to fill a spot. With all the money these CEOs are making in bonuses, it's not going to hurt to hold a job for a member of the military.
Banks, come on... seriously?! Fees to use your own services, you hold our money anyway, its like it's being held hostage because if we can't access it due to a fee, what can we do?! Absolute bullshit. Allocate your funds differently, paying fees to simply do business with you is ridiculous. Credit unions kick ass by the way.
Super Committee. You fail, you're just like the rest of government. One side wanting the rich to pay their fair share, the other side screaming that they don't want a raise in taxes. Hello, it's not a raise in taxes, it's a repeal of your tax breaks given to you by the very man that's caused this fucked up situation to begin with. G. W. Bush. Get your heads out of your asses. How is it there are people who are rich who are completely willing to pay their fair share, yet some of you have such a hard time with it? You guys keep getting richer on the backs and shoulders of those who must fight paycheck to paycheck to pay their bills. Remember who is paying your salary, those who are at the bottom of the totem pole. They do the most work for the least amount of money and are the very engine that is allowing you your vacations, your fancy cars, your lavish meals, and everything else that the average person rarely sees, Anyway, back to the Super Committee, since an agreement won't be reached, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, Defense, among others are being cut. Who relies on these services for the most part?! The workers, the working poor, the average Jane and Joe. The very people that allow business to work, that allow the country to work. The majority are being screwed and it's a very sad situation. Wonderful set up for the future generations to look forward to.
I type this because I am frustrated too. There really isn't much more that can be done. Our government is out of touch, they have no idea what it's like to be a citizen of this country right now. They aren't the ones having to pay the price for the high cost of healthcare, having to live a day at a time.
On that... healthcare... hey government, you do understand that if you were to lower the cost of healthcare, you'd have more healthy people because they'd be able to afford it?! A healthier population means a more productive population, a more productive population means more tax revenue and more money to spend in the retail sector. More money spent means a more robust economy. While the argument that people need to eat better, or more healthy is valid, healthcare is just out of hand, example: My mother broke her arm in late January 2011, the total amount to put her arm back together because of how bad the break was, was almost $120,000, yes... this is not a typo. One hundred twenty thousand dollars!! That's half the cost of a small house. Insurance of course covered most of it, which she is thankful for, but come on... seriously?! Absolutely ridiculous cost.
As you can see, I've had a lot to say. Thank you again to those that have taken the time to read, and hopefully I made a difference in one way or another by doing so.

Thanks, diversity and ramblings...
Ahh shit, ok here goes. First real blog post, and I am doing it at 3 am. Do I rule or what?!
Two days from now is Thanksgiving Day, a day that we are supposed to give thanks to what we have, to our families, friends, to pretty much everything that is positive or leads to positiveness in our lives. I have said the following probably each year for the past 3 or 4 years. THANKSGIVING SHOULD BE EVERY DAY. I know there are times when we get very busy, times when we virtually have tunnel-vision, when we have little time to breathe let alone do anything else. We need to take a few moments to let those that are important to us, that they indeed are thought of and loved. Nothing personally makes me feel better than someone telling me how much they love me, or how glad they are to have me in their lives and it feels good to say these things to others as well. It's a win-win. So do it!!
I admit there are times in my life that I have been alone. Times where I am lonely. I don't jump from one relationship to another, that is not my way. If relations with women that I know were meant to be, they would be. Or if they are meant to be, sometime in the future they will be. Though I am cautious, we've all been hurt before, we've all been heartbroken and someone that says otherwise is either oblivious to their emotions, or is without them. While it is by nature that we love, it is also by nature that we hurt. It is what makes us who we are, helps us to move forward, to grow and be stronger, even as we question in our strength.
It is difficult to focus, not only because of what time it is as I type this, but because of all the things going on in our country, in the world. These times are not without issues, definitely not. Though when are there not issues?! Where is that utopian peaceful existence like in Star Trek, at least on Earth?! Maybe we need some aliens to land and tell us to live long and prosper before we'll come together as a people and put differences aside, conflicts aside. Who knows. I do find it funny that a lot of what's become reality was predicted by sci-fi writers. Technology-wise I mean. Anyway I am going off on tangent.
Ok, one final thing before I am done with this entry... we are all in this world together, we are diverse, and diversity should be celebrated, not shunned. I remember kids at school (and myself a times) when I was young, would get picked on for being different. Being different is great, it's what people should be. Who wants to be a clone of someone else?! The "in" crowd is a farce, we all are the "in" crowd, we all share this Earth together. Celebrate differences, learn new cultures, new rituals, new points of view, you may just find that you've become a more understanding person as a result.
I am thinking next entry, I might touch on this whole "Occupy" stuff going on. Simply because again, I have a lot to say. Thanks for reading this far, if you have.

And so it begins...
Alright... so... I've been seeing that people have these blogs, and decided I should probably get one too. I suppose this can or will replace the blog style notes I have been doing on Facebook, so I will make sure that there is a link to this from my Facebook so people can see.
